Hoje cheguei a uma conclusão quase definitiva, depois de consultar este documento sobre pragas do cafeeiro: neste documento a espécie está documentada como se pertencesse ao gênero Fidicina, mas na verdade ela pertence ao gênero Fidicinoides, sendo a espécie F. pronoe. I found this cicada in Campinas, nearby the 11th Infantry Brigade. By the way, there were lots of them! Its song is a typical (and very loud) and, unlike most of the cicadas in the area, its colors are very distinct: Back: head, neck and eyes are dark green, back is burgundy with two side stripes in white (bordering the wings), and dark abdomen, gradually brightening a light gray; Belly: paws and nose are green and the rest of the belly is yellowish. The specimens in the branches are male, the specimen in my hand is a female. Approximate size is 3 to 4 cm.
Today I reached a nearly definitive conclusion while consulting this document about coffee pests, but there's a mistake on it: This species doesn't belong to genus Fidicina, but now it does to genus Fidicinoides, and this species ID is F. pronoe.
