Acredito que se trata do gênero Ariasa. Mas a espécie ainda não consegui identificar... Seu canto é muito similar ao canto da espécie americana Tibicen davisi.
Small Grass Cicada (Ariasa genus)
Never seen before a cicada that would like to stay on the grass ... This was the first time! I found this specimen in the Vila Militar de Campinas (Jd Chapadão). Very small, approximately 1.5 cm long, it caught my attention because it has a slightly different song from the more common cicadas, and when I checked out I discovered that it was singing in the low grass! I shot my several attempts to capture it (except the time I got it) and took several photos. It's a shame the low quality of the pictures (because it is too small, my camera could not focus on it, or so I didn't learn to do this ... lol). Its song is quite similar to a cricket, but you can identify that it is a cicada, especially when we approach to it. Their colors are: green-brown on the back, with two yellow stripes in the middle of the back and white belly, except in the abdomen, with its central portion black. Its wings have yellow veins near the body, and his eyes are dark. If anyone knows what species it is, please help me to identify, I would love to know! I believe it's a Ariasa. But the species i couldn't identify ... Its song is very similar to the American Tibicen davisi species.
